Why does nobody talk about leaving a bad review for a friend's business?
I had to tell my buddy his dog grooming shop smelled like wet basement and he got defensive, but now I just pay full price somewhere else and avoid the whole mess, anyone else deal with this?

Got a similar thing with my sister-in-law who started making candles. She gave me one as a gift and it smelled fine but the wick was basically a piece of string so it smoked up my whole living room. I told her maybe the wick was too small and she got all quiet and said she uses "specialty wicks" you know. Now I just buy candles at Target and if she asks I say I'm saving mine for a special occasion. It's just not worth the awkwardness of being honest about someone's craft project gone wrong.
