Kid's toy had 3 motors inside a single plastic shell, took me 2 hours to fish them out
Read a post from a guy who said he trashes any toy with more than one motor because it's not worth the hassle, but I pulled 3 working DC motors from a broken Buzz Lightyear last Saturday and now I'm wondering if he's just lazy or if I'm wasting time on junk.

People get weirdly all or nothing about stuff like this. It's like that old saying about how you can have it easy or you can have it worth something, but you can't have both. Some folks just want the instant win, others are willing to dig around for the payoff.

I mean, I get what you're saying, but like... 80% of the time when people say "dig around for the payoff" it's just code for "I put up with a garbage interface and bad design because I'm used to it." There's a middle ground where something can be both easy to use and actually rewarding, you know?
