PSA: My $45 squat rack find turned into a 3-hour bolt extraction nightmare
Found a great deal on a used squat rack at a garage sale in Tulsa, but when I got it home half the bolts were rusted solid. Took me soaking them in penetrating oil and using a breaker bar to finally get them loose - has anyone else dealt with seized hardware on secondhand gear?

Had the same thing happen with a bench from a guy in Austin. If you haven't tried it yet, hit it with PB Blaster and let it sit overnight before you even touch a wrench again. Saved me from having to drill out three bolts.

Wait wait wait... THREE HOURS on seized bolts from a Tulsa garage sale? That's insane. I mean I've had my share of stubborn hardware on secondhand gear but three hours is next level. Did you try heat at all? A propane torch has saved me so many times on rusted stuff like that, just gotta be careful not to melt any plastic parts if there's any bushings or something nearby. That breaker bar must've been singing, huh?
