Am I the only one who thinks airport taxis are a total budget killer in my city?
I live near Chicago, and I take a lot of short trips to see family. I mean, every time I fly into O'Hare, I watch people grab cabs that cost like $50 to the Loop. Idk, maybe it's just me, but I always jump on the Blue Line train instead. It's $2.50 and gets you downtown in under an hour. I've saved hundreds over the years, no joke. Friends complain it's crowded or slow, but I've ridden it at all hours, even after my shifts, and it's fine. If you're serious about saving cash on travel, ditching the taxi is step one. Why blow money on a ride when you could put it toward a better hotel or more food?
