I finally see the point of keeping galaxy photos less edited, even though everyone says to boost them.

Totally, over-editing is such a trap for this stuff. Space already has wild colors and depth if you just let it show. Keeping it natural honestly feels more impressive to me.

Salvaging that corroded battery compartment has me rethinking repair ethics

Sometimes the math just doesn't add up. Fixing a ten-dollar gadget with fifty dollars in parts and labor is a bad deal for everyone. Customers get annoyed at the bill, and you waste time that could go to jobs people actually value. The truth is, most mass-produced stuff is designed to be thrown away, and fighting that tide can sink a small repair shop. It's better to focus on items with real worth, like family heirlooms or high-end gear.

Family dinner turned into a skincare intervention out of nowhere.

Yeah I used to think that stuff was helpful too, but being put on the spot like that just makes it worse. lindab73 is right about the good intentions, but the timing feels like an attack. Now I just change the subject real fast.

My colored pencils dried out, so I switched to basic entries.

Honestly, I've had that happen with my old colored pencils too. Tbh, you can try rubbing the tips on some sandpaper to see if there's still pigment underneath the dried layer. If that fails, soaking them in warm water for a minute might bring them back a bit. Ngl, using just a plain pen or pencil really does help you stop overthinking and just write. I started keeping a simple notebook for rough ideas, and it made a huge difference. It's like when you have fewer choices, your brain can finally settle on what matters.
