Just passed my 100th anime in 3 years and I feel weirdly proud

I was scrolling through my MyAnimeList last night and noticed I hit exactly 100 completed shows. Started counting back to when I really got into it, which was around March 2021 during a slow period at my job. The milestone hit me harder than I expected because I remember being that person who only watched Naruto and thought that was it. What made me stop and think was seeing how many different genres I ended up trying just by reading random forum threads here. Has anyone else hit a round number like this and suddenly realized how much your taste has changed since you started?

Ha, congrats on joining the "I have no life but at least it's organized" club. That 100 mark is just the point where your brain starts recommending shows you never thought you'd watch.

can't argue with that @patricia42, it's wild how the system just starts feeding you random genres you'd never try otherwise. i mean, i've noticed that happens with a lot of stuff in life, not just tv - your phone starts recommending weird music or your streaming playlist gets all scrambled when you've been stuck inside too long. maybe it's just me but that "you've seen it all" feeling is just a sign you need to go outside or find a new hobby.
