Sat through the last 6 episodes of a show I hated just to see if the filler episodes had any payoff

I binged 3 hours of recap episodes on Sunday only to have the final fight happen off screen, so has anyone else ever finished a series out of spite and ended up more annoyed than when you started?

That show really tested my patience, and then the payoff was basically a slideshow with dramatic music. My cat watched the finale with me and walked out mid-credit scene, which felt like a personal judgment. Honestly, my stubborn streak is the only reason I finished, and now I'm just mad at myself for trusting the hype.
