The "sub vs dub" debate is just people talking past each other
At the last anime meetup in Austin, a guy spent 15 minutes lecturing me about how subs are superior, then admitted he watches most seasonal shows dubbed, and I realized the real issue is everyone's arguing about different genres and target audiences, so has anyone else noticed the conversation never works because nobody defines what they mean by "better" first?

Tell that guy his own mouth just proved dubs are the real MVP since he clearly couldn't follow the plot with his eyes and ears at the same time. lmao
