Took me 6 tries to figure out my neighbor's subwoofer situation

I swear I spent like 3 months trying to figure out where this low rumbling was coming from in my place. Kept thinking it was my washing machine or the building's HVAC. Finally asked the guy downstairs if he had a sound system and he's like 'oh yeah, I got a subwoofer on a concrete slab, is that bad?' I nearly lost it. Has anyone else had to deal with bass you can feel but can't pinpoint?

Honestly my upstairs neighbor had the same setup. Took me a month to realize that thumping was actually his TV sub.
