Warning: my free editing app beats any paid software
I make sharper videos with a phone app than with costly programs.

Three years ago, I put money into Adobe Premiere for all my video work. I thought free apps were just for quick fixes and bad quality. Your post made me get CapCut on a whim last Tuesday. The sharpness in the finished video was really BETTER than my Premiere stuff. It handles color tweaks and effects without crashing, which is a big deal. I have to say, my old way of thinking was all wrong.

My cousin Jake is a wedding photographer who swore by Final Cut Pro for years. He laughed when I told him to try DaVinci Resolve for color grading last April. After one project, he admitted the free version did shadows better than his paid setup. Now he uses both, but he starts all his edits in Resolve just for that look. It's wild how stuck we get in our ways until something free shakes it up.
