Tried that new 'fast cure' clear coat from the truck in Atlanta and it fisheyed like crazy
I sprayed a hood on a 2015 Civic with it, following the temp guidelines to the letter. The finish looked perfect for about 30 seconds, then a whole mess of tiny craters showed up. I think the hardener is way too aggressive for our humid summer air. Anyone know a better clear for high-humidity jobs?

Actually, fisheyes are almost always from contamination, not the hardener being too fast. That pinhole or crater look means something like silicone or oil got on the surface before you sprayed. The humidity can make a fast product trickier to work with, but it doesn't cause fisheyes by itself. Did you wipe the panel down with a wax and grease remover right before spraying? Sometimes a fresh tack cloth can leave behind fibers or residue that causes this.

Man, that sounds exactly like my nightmare with a different "fast" clear last July. Ended up switching to a slower hardener made for high humidity, even though it meant waiting longer to handle the part. The extra open time let the clear flow out before it set up. A super thorough wipe down with grease remover right before spraying became non-negotiable for me too, just in case.
