Hit 500 board feet of reclaimed lumber in my shed stack today

I've been collecting old pallets and busted fence boards for about 4 years now, and somehow I finally counted it all - 500 board feet sitting there waiting for projects. Makes me wonder how many other folks have a pile they haven't measured in years, or am I the only one who lets it get that wild?

Tbh 500 board feet is nothing to sneeze at, but you're definitely not alone. I've got a pile of old barn siding in my garage that I haven't counted in years, probably close to that. Reclaimed lumber just multiplies when you're not looking, like rabbits or something. Ngl it feels good to finally measure it out though, makes the chaos feel productive.

Honestly just write the dimensions right on the siding with a marker so you don't have to remeasure next time.
