Spent 4 hours leveling my shed foundation with a 2x4 and a level

Turns out my fancy laser level was off by 3/8 of an inch because I didn't check it against a bucket of water first. Has anyone else had their digital tools screw up a simple backyard build?

And here I was thinking my laser level made me look like a pro, turns out a bucket of water is the real high-tech tool. Makes me wonder what other fancy gadgets I've trusted that are secretly off.

Did you see that mythbusters episode where they tested levels? The water one was dead on every time. Kinda makes you wonder about all those expensive tools.
