Wasted $120 on a cheap greenhouse kit that fell apart in 3 months

I bought a $120 greenhouse kit off an online deal last spring for my backyard in Denver. The plastic cover ripped at the first wind gust over 20 mph, and the thin metal frame bent like a pretzel. I tried patching it with duct tape, but it just got worse. Now I'm looking at building a proper one from scratch with wood and polycarbonate panels. Anyone else get burned by those cheap pop-up greenhouse kits?

Oh man, you're not wrong there... but I've got a question for you though. What exactly is your cutoff for "cheap" on these kits? Like, is it the $30 specials on Amazon or the $80 ones that still feel flimsy? I've seen guys drop decent money on a beginner kit and still end up with warped boards and weak magnets... makes me wonder where the line actually is.
