Why does nobody talk about swapping your phone scroll for a 10 minute walk after dinner
Three years ago my doctor in Tulsa said my blood pressure was creeping up and I laughed it off, but after logging 4 hours of nightly couch scrolling for a month straight I traded it for a lap around the block and my sleep tracker went from 5.5 to 7 hours, so what small swap actually stuck for you guys?
That 40 minute window after dinner is the killer for me too. I read somewhere that your body wants to sit and digest, so you just sort of melt into the couch and the phone finds your hand on its own. What worked was making the walk non-negotiable, like I put my shoes by the door before I even start eating. Now the dog expects it at 7:15 sharp and stares at me if I'm late. Six weeks in and I'm not napping at my desk anymore, which I didn't even connect to the scrolling until it stopped.
