Swore off garage sales for good after 3 straight busts, then found a $1 bread machine in Omaha that flipped my whole take
I always thought garage sales were just junk piles for hoarders, but my wife dragged me to one in Omaha last Saturday and I grabbed a bread machine for a buck that works fine. Now I'm second guessing every thrift store I've ever walked past. Where do you all draw the line between worth a look and total waste of a morning?

Sounds like you had three bad ones in a row and gave up too quick, since the Omaha find kind of proves the whole thing works if you keep at it. Draw the line at driving more than 20 minutes unless you already know the neighborhood is good.
