The Tuesday my lunch break ruined my whole week of estimates

Last month in Denver I had one of those days where every little thing stacked up. My truck broke down on the way to a job site, the client messaged me at noon saying they wanted to switch from asphalt to metal roofing, and then I spilled coffee all over the quote sheets I'd printed that morning. By 2pm I was sitting in a Wendy's parking lot redoing the numbers on my phone, and I swear the $200 price difference between the two materials felt like the end of the world. Has anyone else had a single bad afternoon completely throw off their whole schedule for days after, or am I just terrible at rolling with the punches?

Man, that sounds like an absolute nightmare. One bad afternoon like that can totally wreck your headspace for days, I've been there more times than I'd like to admit.
