Had a guy in my chair in Akron ask for the 'Tony Soprano' but with a twist
He brought in a picture from season 4, but then said he wanted the sides faded like a modern soccer player. I just stared at him for a second trying to picture that combo. I asked, 'So, you want a tough guy from New Jersey mixed with a guy from Portugal?' He just nodded real serious and said, 'Exactly, make it work.' Anyone ever get a request that mashed up two totally different styles like that?
Remember that haircut from the 90s, the one everyone got? It looked fine on maybe two people. Most of the time a haircut is just a haircut, not some big statement. It grows out in a few weeks anyway. Getting this worked up over someone else's style seems like a waste of energy.
Committee haircuts are the worst. Saw a guy at the mall last week with one of those. Looked like three different barbers each took a turn without talking to the others. Front was all business, sides were a mess, back was just forgotten. Couldn't stop staring. Bet he paid good money for it too.
