I finally hit 500 hours of smoke time on my old offset and the firebox door fell right off.
The hinge bolts just gave out, so I had to finish a 14-pound brisket in Austin last weekend by propping the door shut with a brick and some baling wire.

Remember when my buddy's grill grate collapsed mid-cook? We had to finish those ribs on a cookie sheet in his oven.
