Ngl, the way we handle broken glass on the floor changed after a new manager came in.

We used to just grab a broom and dustpan, but now we have a specific kit with thick gloves, a wet paper towel, and a labeled bucket. It started after a coworker in Dallas got a tiny shard in her hand last month. Anyone else have a weird new safety rule that actually makes sense?

That story about the tiny shard is exactly why it makes sense. People think sweeping gets everything, but it leaves behind those invisible slivers. The wet paper towel trick is smart because it picks up the dust and tiny pieces a broom just pushes around. It seems like overkill until you're the one digging glass out of your skin. What other rules seem extra but actually work?

Yeah, the wet paper towel thing is a game changer. It makes me wonder about other cleaning shortcuts that backfire. Like, do people actually rinse dishes before putting them in the dishwasher? I always thought it was a waste of time, but my friend swears it's the only way they come out clean. What's the deal with that?
