Spent $45 on an apron with 'utility pockets' and they're all useless for a cashier

The 'pen pocket' is too narrow for a standard Sharpie and the coin pouch sits right where my scanner strap rubs. Anybody know a cheap brand that actually works for front-end workers?

Honestly have you checked out the aprons at Chef Works? Their basic bistro one has a pen slot that actually fits a Sharpie and the pocket sits low enough it won't get in your way.
