Spent $60 on a fancy deli slicer and it's just sitting in my closet
I thought I'd save money slicing my own roast beef for subs, but after three tries I kept getting uneven slices and almost cut my thumb off. The thing is a pain to clean and now I'm back to paying the deli counter guy $2 extra per pound. Has anyone else bought a kitchen gadget that ended up being more trouble than it's worth?

Oh man, I read some article that said most kitchen gadgets end up in a closet within six months, and this is exactly why. The cleaning alone is never worth it with those single-use things, especially when the deli counter already does it better. Honestly, I'll pay that extra $2 just to keep my thumbs where they belong.

Yeah, "the cleaning alone is never worth it" hits hard. I bought one of those fancy spiralizers and used it twice before realizing I could just buy pre-spiralized zoodles at the store for barely more. Now I just stick to a good chef's knife and a couple pans, everything else is clutter.
