Back at the Griffith Observatory after a decade

Remember when you could see the Milky Way from a dark spot? I tried showing my nephew some stars from my old backyard spot last month. He asked if the "fuzzy cloud" was just my neighbor's bad wifi signal. I had to pull up a sky map on my phone to prove stars were actually up there.

A patient in my chair last month gave me the push I needed

Wow, that's wild. It's crazy how a total outsider can see your life clearer than you can. That guy had zero reason to say that, which makes it feel MORE true, you know? Like he wasn't just being nice. Sometimes you need that one blunt sentence from a stranger to crack everything open.

My aunt told me to track every dollar for a month, and I thought she was nuts

Yeah, my friend did something similar and it blew his mind too. He read this article about "latte factor" spending, which is basically what you found with the coffee and snacks. It's crazy how those tiny buys add up so fast without you even noticing. I get what @jenny_jackson is saying about the lesson sticking, because once you see it, you can't unsee it. I'm way more aware now before I just tap my card for a small treat.

PSA: A job in Bellingham showed me why you always check the property pins

Sounds like a classic property line mixup. My uncle once built a fence that took a chunk of the city's land, and let's just say the city was not amused. That shed is gonna be a fun conversation starter for the next neighborhood barbecue. Bet the cousin is hoping the neighbor is really into free storage space.

PSA: A job in Bellingham showed me why you always check the property pins

My cousin built a shed that's technically in his neighbor's yard now.
