Switched to a different grease for my Kirby hat last month. Big change.

Was using that basic white lithium stuff for years. Kept getting stiff zips and snaps. My buddy in Tampa said to try the blue marine grade grease. Did a job in Mobile Bay last week. Hat zipper moved smooth the whole time, even after six hours down. What other small gear fixes made a big difference for you guys?

Can we talk about the cardboard insert in my new copy of Ark Nova completely collapsing during setup

It happened right on my kitchen table yesterday, scattering all the wooden animal pieces and forcing me to spend 20 minutes sorting everything into plastic bags instead.

Warning: My old tent zipper kept sticking until I tried a pencil.

The slider on my main door was a pain, especially in the cold. Rubbed a normal graphite pencil tip along the teeth a few times. Anyone know a better fix for this, or is this the go-to trick?

Just got back from a week in Lisbon and my food budget was under 100 euros

I was so worried about eating out, but I found this tiny market near my hostel that had amazing fresh bread, cheese, and fruit for super cheap. I made my own lunches every day and only ate one big meal out in the evening. Has anyone else found a good local market that saved their trip?

Cleaning out my closet and found a quilt I never finished

I mean, I started it years ago when I had more free time. Now looking at it, I feel kinda sad but also motivated to maybe pick it back up, idk how to get started again though. The pattern is from my grandma, so it means a lot to me.

Just realized that forcing myself to stop after three edits made my digital art better

I used to keep fixing my digital paintings until they looked wrong. My stuff started to feel stiff and boring. So I set a hard limit of three edits per piece. First edit is for big shapes, second for colors, and third for small stuff. After that, I have to save it and post it online. It felt weird to walk away at first. But now my art has more snap and people like it more. I guess not overdoing it works.

I swear by using just a brick hammer for cutting and shaping, but everyone else says dedicated tools are faster and safer! This came up after I finished a complex arch solo. Am I stuck in the past or onto something?

Took a crack at restoring an old nav unit for fun, and it actually powered up.

I've been tinkering with this thing for months in my spare time. Seeing the display light up for the first time was a real thrill. Next step is to get the readings right.
