Hit 500 complete overhauls last week without realizing it
I was cleaning up my workbench and flipping through my old job ledger when I noticed I'd crossed 500 complete bike overhauls since I started tracking them back in 2019. The number really surprised me because it didn't feel like that many builds when you're just doing one or two a week between tune-ups and flat repairs. Has anyone else looked back at their numbers and been caught off guard by how much work they've actually done?

Flipped through my old notebook last month and found I'd done something like 450 wheel trues since 2020, which felt insane because truing a wheel is such a boring job you kind of zone out and forget you even did it. It's weird how the numbers stack up when you're not paying attention (sort of like how I didn't realize I'd burned through a whole box of spoke wrenches until I went to grab a new one and found the empty box). Makes you wonder what else you've done way more of than you thought, like I bet I've changed more tires than there are days in the year and that's a scary thought.

What triggered you to start keeping that notebook in the first place? Curious if it was just a habit, or if you had a feeling those numbers were stacking up faster than they should. Tracking something that tedious seems like it would take a specific kind of patience.
