I finally swapped to ceramic pads on my daily driver and wish I did it years ago
Ran OEM semi-metallic for like 60k miles on my 2015 Civic. Rotors were toast, pads were glazed, and the dust was insane. Spent $65 on a set of Centric ceramics and some rotors from RockAuto. Broke them in proper over a weekend in Phoenix traffic. Zero dust after 2 months, no squeal, and the pedal feel is actually better. Anyone else make the switch and get way more life out of their rotors?

60k miles on original rotors and pads sounds like you were already overdue for a change regardless of pad material. Ceramics are fine for dust reduction but I swapped to them on my 2018 Accord and still got rotor warping after 20k miles of city driving. Couple that with worse cold bite in the winter and I'm not convinced it's a night and day upgrade over a quality semi-metallic pad.

Huh, I had the opposite experience-ceramics lasted way longer for me on my Civic with zero warping so far.
