My big mistake with those pre-cut veggie trays
I mean, I grabbed one from the Walmart produce section last week thinking it would save time, but it was like $8 for basically a cup of chopped peppers and broccoli. I could have bought two whole peppers and a head of broccoli for half that and chopped it myself in five minutes. Anyone else have a go-to cheap veggie prep trick that doesn't feel like a chore?

Ugh, those trays are such a scam. My trick is just doing a big chop session on Sunday while I'm already in the kitchen listening to a podcast. I'll do a couple bell peppers, a cucumber, and a bag of carrots all at once. Toss them in a big container with a dry paper towel at the bottom to soak up moisture, and they stay crisp for days. It feels way less annoying when you batch it, and you actually have snacks ready to grab.
