Just got back from a week in Lisbon and my food budget was under 100 euros

I was so worried about eating out, but I found this tiny market near my hostel that had amazing fresh bread, cheese, and fruit for super cheap. I made my own lunches every day and only ate one big meal out in the evening. Has anyone else found a good local market that saved their trip?

Was that market the one near the Time Out food hall? I read a blog post about a hidden spot there with super cheap local cheese. Finding those places is the best part of traveling for me, it feels way more real than just hitting restaurants. I did the same thing in Barcelona last year and saved a ton.

My buddy got lost near that market, jamie712, and stumbled on a tiny bakery selling these amazing pastries for like a euro each.
