My neighbor said she saves $400 a month by buying all her meat in bulk at Costco and freezing it, which made me finally look at my grocery spending.

I always thought bulk buying was for big families, but after she showed me her freezer packed with chicken and ground beef, I checked my own receipts and realized I was spending way too much on small, last-minute packages at the regular store.

Bulk buying is honestly for anyone who has freezer space. The math on those big packs is hard to beat, even for just two people.

Yeah exactly, me and my wife are just two people and we started buying the big packs from Costco last year. Honestly it changed our grocery routine completely, we just portion everything out and freeze it right when we get home. Ground beef and chicken breasts are the easiest, we just wrap them in portions and they last months. Saves us like $30 a trip compared to buying the smaller packs at the regular store. Only thing is you gotta be okay eating the same stuff for a while lol.
