Wasted $80 on a meal prep service that sent me 3 days of food I didn't even like
Signed up for Freshly after seeing an ad. Thought it would save time and money on groceries. First box came with a bunch of meals that were either too salty or just bland. Cancelled after week one but they charged me for the second box anyway. That's $80 gone and I still had to buy my own food. Anyone else fall for those meal kit trials?

$80 is rough man. I signed up for one of those once but I noticed the fine print said you had to cancel 5 days BEFORE the next billing cycle, not just before it ships. Most people miss that because it's buried in the terms. They count on you forgetting or thinking you have more time. A lot of these meal services also use a third party billing system that fights every cancellation request. I'd call your bank and see if they can do a chargeback since you cancelled before the second box shipped.

Whoa, did @jamiegreen's bank actually approve the chargeback though? I've heard some of them push back hard on meal kit disputes.
