Serious question, I had to pick between a dot grid or blank pages for my new journal.

Went with the dots after my friend in Chicago said it helps with straight lines, and honestly, my monthly spreads look way cleaner now. Anyone have a good pen that doesn't bleed through 160gsm paper?

My buddy in Denver tried a blank one and his handwriting looked like a toddler's by page three.

Okay but that's kinda the whole point of a blank notebook. If your buddy's writing got messy, it means he was actually writing fast and getting his thoughts out. That's a good thing. The blank page isn't supposed to make your handwriting perfect, it's supposed to get out of the way. Sounds like it worked.
