Serious question, why do people insist on using washi tape spreads that make the journal impossible to close?
I've been watching bujo posts for 6 months now and every time someone layers that thick washi tape on the edges, their notebook has a 1 inch gap. It can't sit flat and the pages warp after a week. Am I the only one who thinks decoration shouldn't ruin the function of the book?

Your notebook has a 1 inch gap" - that's the part that gets me too. People forget that washi tape adds actual physical thickness, especially when you layer it on the spine edge. It's like putting a stack of stickers on a door hinge and wondering why it won't close.
