I used to think a good product was enough, but a quiet Tuesday in March changed that.

For years I just focused on making my thing better, but then I saw a competitor with a worse product get way more sales because they were just better at talking to people online. I started putting half my time into just answering questions in Facebook groups (like this one) and sales went up 30% in a quarter. How do you split your time between making stuff and actually telling people about it?

Totally see that everywhere now. The best restaurant in my town is empty while the okay one with a fun Instagram is packed. It's all about showing up where people already are.

Wait, sales went up THIRTY percent just from talking in groups? That's actually insane. I always figured the product had to be perfect first. Makes you wonder how much business I've missed by just hiding in my workshop. The split is so hard to get right though.
