My $900 client project crashed because I skipped a simple backup step
Last Wednesday I was putting the final touches on a local bakery's website redesign when the whole thing just died. Their hosting provider had a server failure and I realized I hadn't pulled a fresh local copy in 3 weeks. Lost two full days of work and had to rebuild from a backup that was missing 15 product pages. Has anyone else gotten burned by trusting cloud auto-saves too much?

Nah, that's on you for not having a current local copy.

Lost an entire photography portfolio once because I trusted the cloud to save my edits automatically and it just didn't.
