Last week's tight deadline forced a fast adhesive spread, and the floor turned out fine. Sometimes that pressure gets the job done RIGHT when you focus. Waiting around can just waste daylight on simple tasks.

Man, I feel your pain on that one. Last time I tried to rush a floor job, I ended up with glue everywhere, even on the ceiling somehow. It's like, you think you're saving time, but then you spend hours cleaning up. I always tell myself to just follow the instructions, but in the moment, I get impatient and skip steps. Your post really hits home because that setup time is no joke, it's the difference between a smooth finish and a sticky disaster. So yeah, rushing never pays off, and now I've learned the hard way too.

That "glue on the ceiling" image is gonna stick with me... literally. I'm the king of that move, where my hurry to finish just makes a whole new, worse job. Last weekend I was so impatient that I smeared adhesive on a finished baseboard, and the "five minute" clean-up turned into a full repaint. It's like my rush creates a time-wasting monster that I then have to fight.
