Cat decided my fiber splice tray was a bed mid-job last Friday

Customer's orange tabby jumped right into my open tray while I was fusing at a house in Tempe, knocked the whole thing onto the carpet. Anyone else have to redo a whole termination because of a nosy pet?

and you know what really grinds my gears about this... people always blame the cat but nobody talks about how fiber trays are basically cat traps anyway. they're warm, they're at eye level for a curious tabby, and they have all those little dangling pigtails that look like toys. last week my neighbor's parrot landed on my test gear while I was at a job in Chandler, managed to unplug a fresh 12-strand connector by pecking at the pull tab. I swear these animals know exactly when you're on a tight deadline.
