Showerthought: Checked a new apartment complex in Denver and saw exposed lines everywhere
I was running a new drop at The Heights complex off Colfax and noticed the last installer left coax just dangling under the crawlspace... no clips, no straps. Has anyone else walked into a site that looked like the previous guy just gave up halfway through?

Yeah "the last guy just gave up" is probably not what happened, more likely they were just lazy or in a hurry. I've seen worse though, like coax running through a puddle in a basement because someone couldn't be bothered to route it properly. That Denver complex sounds like a typical rushed job where quality got sacrificed for speed.

Cringe every time I see that "last guy gave up" excuse, it's usually code for "I didn't want to do the job right." Had a buddy who found a network drop in an apartment where they literally just shoved the cable through a wall vent and called it a day. You could see the cable dangling inside the air duct from the register. Took them four hours to fix all the shorts and reroute it properly. Makes you wonder how many buildings out there are just ticking time bombs of bad work, right?
