A homeowner in Denver pointed out my seam placement last week
They asked why I put a seam right in the main walkway instead of shifting it under a couch, saying it would wear faster and be more visible. I realized I was just following the old 'seam with the light' rule without thinking about traffic patterns. Do you guys ever move seams to avoid high traffic areas, even if it goes against the light?

Seams with the light is a good starting point, but traffic patterns are the real priority. Would you rather see a seam or have it fall apart?

Feel that so hard. Watched a cheap rug get torn up in a hallway in under a year because everyone used the same path. The seam might bug you for a day, but a hole in the floor is a real problem. You're totally right to focus on where the feet actually go.
