A thank you note from a client in Omaha made my week
Finished a tricky stair runner job last month, and the homeowner mailed me a card saying it was the first thing her grandkids noticed when they visited. That kind of feedback, about the small details, is why I keep doing this. Anyone else get a note that stuck with them?
My old foreman kept every thank you card in his toolbox. Found them after he passed, a whole stack from forty years of jobs. Makes you realize the work outlasts the tools.
@joseph_black story makes me wonder - what kind of stuff have you found in your toolbox that meant more than the tools themselves? Or is it just dust and old receipts for most of us?
