Hot take: A wavy subfloor found during demo has me stuck.

I pulled up some nasty old carpet and the wood below was all bumpy. I think we should level it, but the boss says to just pad it out and keep the job moving fast. How do you handle it when what's right fights with what's quick?

Last year, I had a subfloor with dips over half an inch in my own bathroom. I tried to ignore it, and now my tile looks like a roller coaster. My husband still laughs about it. So I'm all for leveling, even if it slows things down. A quick fix now just means callbacks later. It might add a day to the job, but it saves headaches when the new floor goes down smooth. How do you convince your boss when you know the right way is worth the time?

Ugh, your story tells you everything your boss needs to hear.
