Just finished my 500th carpet job yesterday and it hit me

It was a simple install in a living room in Tacoma. When I rolled out the last piece and trimmed it, I realized this was the 500th time I've done this. Started counting after my first year in the trade. Never thought I'd get here. The number matters because it means I've seen every kind of subfloor, every weird room shape, and every homeowner request you can think of. It's not just about the carpet anymore. It's about knowing how to handle the surprises under it. Anyone else keep a running count of their jobs? What number surprised you?

My buddy hit 300 tile jobs and found a sealed whiskey bottle from the 50s under a floor. That's the kind of history you only get from counting.

What did he do with the bottle, keep it or crack it open?
