Warning: That job at 742 Elm Street almost got me fired
I was laying carpet in a new build over near the old water tower, and the homeowner kept hovering saying 'just tuck it tighter' even after I showed him the seam would pop. He grabbed my kicker and tried to do it himself, bent the blade clean off on a tack strip. Customer went straight to my boss saying I broke his floor. Has anyone else dealt with a client who won't stay out of the way?

That homeowner bending the blade on a tack strip sounds like his own fault though, not yours. I'd just tell your boss the truth and move on, it's not that serious lol.

Ngl @aaronf40, the homeowner paid for the job so he gets to decide what's his fault.
