My brother's electric car obsession misses the bigger picture at home
He spent a fortune on a new EV but still leaves every light on in the house all night. That extra energy use from our old grid probably cancels out his green driving wins.

Seriously, this makes me laugh because my cousin did the same thing (bought a fancy EV to save the planet, you know?). He puts all these LED bulbs in his house but still runs an old AC unit that probably powers a small village. Feels like the good from the car just goes right out the drafty window, especially since our grid is mostly gas and coal anyway. Guess the green vibe only counts when you're in the driveway.
