Pro tip: I stopped trying to learn everything at once and it made coding click

For the first six months, I tried to watch every Python tutorial on YouTube and read three different books at the same time. I mean, I was jumping from web stuff to data science to game dev, and I just got stuck. After I failed to finish a simple weather app for the third time, I picked one free course on Udemy and stuck with it until the end. Now I can actually build things instead of just collecting bits of info. Has anyone else found that focusing on one path helped them more?

Oh man, I feel this in my bones. I had a whole folder of half-finished tutorials that was basically my own personal museum of failure. It's like I thought knowing a little about ten things was better than knowing one thing well enough to actually use it. Forcing myself to just finish one project, even a dumb one, was the only thing that finally made stuff stick.

You really need a whole museum for that?
