My uncle told me I was just 'playing at being a dropout' after I left school
He said if I wasn't building a real skill, I was just avoiding work, so I started a paid apprenticeship with an electrician in Phoenix. Anyone else get a reality check that actually helped them focus?

Yeah that "playing at being a dropout" line hits hard. I mean, getting into a trade like that is solid, good for you. @robert_craig, he's asking how it's going, but honestly sticking with it is the main thing.
