Guy at the counter told me my bagging was trash, fixed my whole setup

Was at a small con in Akron last spring and this older collector watched me bag and board a book. He told me I was leaving too much air in the bag and it would bend the corners over time. I had been doing it the same way for like 6 years. Changed to flat sealing and pressing the air out and my books look way better now. Anyone else get some random tip from a stranger that actually worked?

lol my friend swore by folding the bag flap in til his chips went everywhere last week
