My 20 year old longbox finally gave out on me yesterday

I was moving some stuff in the garage and went to slide out a longbox full of 90s X-Men comics. The bottom just... fell out. All 300+ books hit the concrete floor in a huge mess. I spent the next two hours carefully sorting them back into order, trying not to cry over my slightly bent copy of X-Men #1 from 1991. Anyone else have a storage disaster with their collection?

Honestly it's like everything from that era, all our plastic bins and cheap furniture, is just giving up at once.

My 2008 IKEA dresser is still standing strong. People just notice the broken stuff more than the stuff that lasts. It's not a planned collapse, it's bad luck.
