Tried a new drysuit sealant last week... big mistake
I was down in Norfolk doing a salvage job and my neck seal started leaking bad. Picked up some quick-dry sealant from a local shop, figured it'd save me a trip back to the surface. Glued it on during a 20-minute surface interval, went back down, and the whole thing peeled off in 30 minutes. Ended up waterlogged and had to call the dive early, cost me half a day's pay. Has anyone else had a sealant fail like that on a cold water dive?

Man, that sucks so much. I've been there with a leaky neck seal and it's the worst feeling when you think you've fixed it and then bam, you're soaked again 30 minutes later. You did everything right with the quick surface interval and all, but that sealant just let you down hard. Losing half a day's pay on top of the cold water misery is a real kick in the teeth. Hope you got a proper fix sorted since then and the next dive went smooth.
