I used to think the moon landing stuff was all silly, but a friend in Denver showed me something last month.
We were at his place and he pulled up a detailed video about the flag waving, which I always brushed off as wind from the landing. The host broke down the physics of a vacuum with no air, frame by frame, and I couldn't find a good answer for it. Has anyone seen a solid debunk of that specific flag movement analysis?

The flag moved because the astronauts were twisting the pole into the ground. That motion makes the fabric swing, and in a vacuum with no air resistance, it keeps moving longer than it would on Earth. The video you saw probably left that part out. There's a full breakdown from NASA that shows the setup step by step.

Exactly, the twisting motion gets overlooked every time. I remember watching the full NASA footage years ago and it shows them really working the pole back and forth to get it in the ground. Without any air to slow it down, that flag just keeps on waving from the initial push. It's basic physics, but the short clips make it look weird on purpose.
