Took a detour through Roswell, New Mexico last week and finally got it

I was hauling a load through New Mexico and had to stop for a rest break, so I pulled off at the Roswell visitor center. I've heard all the UFO stories for years and always figured it was just tourist trap stuff. But standing there looking at the desert sky around midnight, I noticed this weird pattern of lights moving way different than any plane I've ever seen. Not blinking, no sound, just gliding in a straight line then stopping dead still. There were three other truckers parked nearby and we all watched it for a good 10 minutes before it vanished. I'm not saying little green men are real, but something strange is going on out there that doesn't fit with normal aircraft. Anyone else had a moment like that where you just had to stop and question what you were seeing?

Actually those were probably flares from the military base nearby, not UFOs.

Huh. Flares burn out in like 30 seconds and drift with the wind. The video shows lights hovering in place for almost two minutes before blinking out one by one. That doesn't match any flare pattern I've ever seen.
