Super told me my 'safety first' tarp setup was a fire hazard in the making

On a job site in Phoenix last July, my foreman walks up and points at how I had all the extension cords bundled under one tarp near the compressor. He said 'son, you're basically building a heater for a spark.' That one comment got me to run everything on separate 100-foot cords with proper covers and I haven't had a single trip hazard or heat issue since. Has anyone else gotten a random tip like that that totally reworked your site safety?

Funny how one little comment can make you see a whole pattern of risky shortcuts in your life lol

My late father used to say "the easy way is rarely the right way," @paulk42, and that stuck with me. I've seen too many people lose out in the long run by cutting corners on something small that seemed harmless at the time. Shortcuts might save you five minutes today but cost you five years of trust tomorrow.
